SECOMAK AIR KNIVES NOW HAVE ANTI-STATIC OPTION

Dust removal with air knives prior to product finishing is often hampered by static electricity. Static causes dust particles to remain attached to surfaces even after air knife treatment and is a particular problem prior to painting and/or surface treatment.

To tackle this problem, air movement-specialist Secomak* has introduced an
anti-static bar for its range of air knives. Attached to the lower surface of the air knife, it neutralises any charged particles on the product surface, ensuring they are effectively removed. This brings obvious benefits in terms of productivity and significantly reduces the number of rejects.

Applications are wide-ranging and include any industry where dust removal is hampered by static electricity. A good example is the automotive industry, where dust needs to be effectively removed from plastic products such as bumpers, dashboards and headlamp reflectors prior to painting.
