Aluminium cans which are packed wet suffer from stress corrosion of the aluminium which causes cans to leak during transit. It also affects the cardboard crates into which the cans are packed which are weakened by the water. This creates rejects from customers and poor product appearance.

Two Air knives placed on each side of the conveyor and three along the top strip the water from the can as it passes through the drying section.
