AIR KNIFE COMPONENT CLEANING FINISHES JOB
Applications for air knives in industry are wide-ranging;
they can be used for drying, cleaning and cooling almost any
type of surface. For component drying, air knives can be used
to remove water or processing materials, such as water-based
lubricants, that would otherwise cause stains or leave residues.
Modular in design, they are easily adaptable to almost any
type of production line, and being very efficient, often allow
the speed of the process to be increased.
Air knives deliver a continuous sheet of precisely controlled
high-velocity air for stripping away moisture or loose particles.
Secomak produces a range of purpose built blowers with optimum
performance for air knives, ensuring a continuous supply of
clean, dry, oil-free air.
Many seemingly intractable problems can actually be solved
quite easily with air knives. Their modular construction
allows them to be positioned in the most awkward and inaccessible
places, where other devices may not easily fit. In addition,
air knives are much more energy efficient than other drying
methods such as compressed air or thermal drying, often cutting
energy costs by up to 90%, thereby helping to reduce energy
tax bills.
Secomak offers a complete drying system, Powerstrip. The system
combines air knives and blowers with drip trays, enclosure
panels and acoustic covers in a complete turnkey package.
Also available is a range of miniature air knives and air cannons
ideal for precision drying and cleaning applications. The
units, which work on the same principle as Secomak's well
established range of larger air knives and air cannons, can
be either be hand-held or fitted to a conveyor line. A stream
of high velocity air, supplied by a compact Secomak blower,
strips away water, and loose debris and dirt from surfaces,
leaving them clean and dry. |
