AIR CURTAIN TO CONTAIN ABRASIVE DUST

During the manufacture of abrasive paper, the abrasive material is fed from a hopper onto the paper and adhesive.
Prior to this operation is an electronic sensor which is part of the line control process. It is necessary to keep the abrasive material away from this sensor to prevent damage and maintain accurate operation.

An air knife placed over the conveyor in between the hopper and the sensor acts as an air curtain and acts as a barrier to prevent the abrasive material from reaching the sensor.
